The idea for EDGITAL stems from HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH's own projects, where measurement campaigns were always part of the operation of the highways. Already in 2019, the first innovation project was implemented in the context of crack detection using artificial intelligence.

TOUGH Training GmbH

TOUGH is Germany’s first interactive, VR-based training software that teaches work processes and safety regulations by experiencing and applying them in a virtual work environment. Our training software is about taking complex content and combining it with its practical implementation in real work situations through digital mapping. HOCHTIEF DCX GmbH, a spin-off of HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH, designs and operates data centers that reconcile the increasing demand for computing power and energy-intensive digital infrastructure with an economy seeking to shift to more sustainable options. The data centers are built away from the major internet exchange points, thus facilitating shorter network latency. In addition to providing faster travel times and data sovereignty, DCX data centers require less energy than conventional data centers and are operated efficiently from renewable energy sources.
