Heisenberg Gymnasium Gladbeck

On behalf of the City of Gladbeck, HOCHTIEF designed and built the new premises of Heisenberg Gymnasium (high school) within the framework of a public-private partnership and will operate the school for 25 years. During the construction period, HOCHTIEF also ensured the financing of the project. With the handing over of the key, HOCHTIEF has taken over the operating services for the new Heisenberg Gymnasium. The scope of the operating services includes property management, maintenance, building cleaning, energy management and building management services. Until summer 2022, the old building will be demolished and the outdoor facilities will be completed.
The modern school building, which is conceived as a place of joint learning, complies with the latest pedagogical requirements. The technical requirements of the newly equipped teaching and specialist rooms provide an important contribution to the digitalization offensive which the school has already started. Large-area city windows characterize the external appearance of the steel-reinforced concrete building with high-quality clinker facade. On every floor, there are generously-dimensioned lounge areas for school students, teachers, school social work and the full-day operation.
