Operating service on the A8 highway

As a shareholder of the operating company Pansuevia Service, HOCHTIEF participates in operating the A8 Federal Highway in Southern Germany. With its own highway maintenance depot in Jettingen-Scheppach, Pansuevia Service ensures a trouble-free operation of the highway on the concession route between Ulm-Elchingen and Augsburg-West. This primarily involves ensuring traffic safety and maintaining the proper condition of the highway along this route—round-the-clock, every day, all year round.

Pansuevia Service implements the operating service with its own personnel and vehicle fleet. Apart from immediate measures undertaken on the road paving, this also includes maintenance and repair work on the highway equipment as well as cleaning works and daily controlling of the route.

In summer the main focus is on maintaining green areas, whereas in the winter months work mainly involves clearing snow and ice. The tasks of the operating service also include securing the sites of accidents and subsequently restoring traffic safety conditions. This includes very close cooperation with rescue services and the police.
